DISCHARGED IS ALMOST FOUR TIMES ACTIVE CASES IN THE NILGIRIS

The Nilgiris Collector Innocent Divya said on Wednesday night that two persons were shifted from Tuesday’s list to other districts thereby reducing the total COVID-19 infected to 724.
However, 11 persons were confirmed positive during the day thereby taking the total number to 735 buy Wednesday night.
Two of them had died earlier while 581 have been discharged fully cured leaving 152 active cases under treatment.
In other words, the discharged number is nearly four times the active cases.
Of the 11 positive persons on Wednesday, as many as eight are contacts of those who have returned from Coimbatore and had tested positive earlier. They live in Manjacombai, Kadanad, Nedugula and Maralacambai.
A woman aged 54 living in Kallatty had attended wedding in Thangadu Oranalli village.
A woman aged 24 living in Nedugula had attended a funeral in Adhigaratty.
A boy aged 13 living in Kota Hal Road in Kotagiri has returned from Salem.
