WITH MORE DISCHARGE, ACTIVE CASES FALL FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE DAY

With the number of persons discharged being more than the number being admitted, the active cases of Covid-19 in The Nilgiris district is continuing to trace a downward path.
On Thursday, 118 persons were discharged while 72 fresh cases were admitted and there was no death.
Consequently, the total infected so far rose to 4,245 of whom, 3,370 had been discharged and 25 had died earlier.
As a result, the number of active cases dropped to 850 from 896 on Wednesday and 953 on Tuesday. In other words, the number of active cases has fallen by 103 in two days.
