Of the 52 new cases, as many as 28 had participated in a marriage function in Thangadu Oranalli village. While many of them live in that village, some live in Karimarahatty, Manjacombai, Thampatty and Edakkadu villages.
Five from Thoraihatty are contacts of a person who came from Mumbai and tested positive.
Four from Hulikkal village and one from Milidhane village have attended a wedding in Ottupattrai.
Four are contacts of the employee of a private company who had earlier tested positive; they live in Ooty and Milidhane village.
The rest live in Ooty, Aruvankadu, Kotagiri, Lower Singara and Coonoor Mount Road.
One shifted from yesterday’s total to another district.
